François Baudart

Dr. F. Baudart graduated, Magna Cum Laude, in electromechanical engineering and received the Ph.D. degree from the Ecole Polytechnique de Louvain (EPL), Louvain-la-Neuve, in 2008 and 2012, respectively. He realized his thesis in collaboration with the aerospace company S.A.B.C.A., on the development of high-performance fault-tolerant actuation systems for the next-gen space launcher of ESA.

He then made a post-doctoral research at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), working on a technological leap in high-performance micro motors. He is still working on that project, aiming at the creation of a start up, spin off from the EPL.

In parallel, from 2009 to 2013, he co-founded the robotics club Plastivore, and managed the electronics embedded in robots that competed for the european contest Eurobot. In 2013, he co-founded Quimesis SPRL. He is now head of the electronic department, supervising the electronic team, from design to production. Besides that, his skills includes CE certification, electromagnetics devices conception, low-level motor control, and sensor-fusion filtering.
